Warranty Policy

AgriEID warranty obligations for products manufactured by or for AgriEID are limited to the terms set out in this policy.

By purchasing an AgriEID product, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this warranty policy as stated on our website. This policy may be updated from time to time, and the most current version will always be available at agrieid.com.

Our warranty covers a standard 12-month period for all our products.

All AgriEID products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects under normal use for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

This warranty program only applies when the product is used in accordance with the provided instruction guides and product manuals.

Any additional warranty beyond the standard 12-month period is provided at the sole discretion of the AgriEID technical team and is subject to the terms outlined in this policy. This extended coverage does not apply to normal wear and tear. If the product has been used in conditions exceeding typical operating environments or has not been maintained in accordance with standard care guidelines for digital equipment, the warranty will be void

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty exclusions include (but are not limited to) :

  • Physical mishandling, misuse, abuse, or negligence
  • Regular wear and tear
  • Accidental damage
  • Dust and sand ingress
  • Water ingress or fluid damage
  • Contamination by chemicals (e.g., battery acid, etc.)
  • Improper power supply (e.g., incorrect voltages, surges, transients, etc.)
  • Attempted repair or modification by a non-authorized AgriEID repair agent
  • Cosmetic or surface corrosion
  • Factory serial number removed or illegible
  • Damage caused by third-party systems or components (e.g., data network voltages, etc.)
  • Data loss (Ensure data is backed up)
  • Failure to provide proof of purchase

Software and usability exclusions: This warranty does not cover dissatisfaction with software functionality, user interface design, reporting features, data entry workflows, or compatibility with a customer’s preferred operational processes. Software-related preferences, feature requests, or decisions to use alternative platforms do not constitute a defect in the product.

AgriEID products are not warranted to be suitable for every individual operation, workflow, or business requirement, and suitability for a specific use case is the sole responsibility of the customer.

AgriEID hardware is not guaranteed to be compatible or function with any third-party hardware, software, or systems. Compatibility with third-party products is not warranted, and any faults, performance issues, or limitations arising from such use are expressly excluded from this warranty.

Use of third-party software, hardware, systems, or integrations that impact the performance or operation of AgriEID products is undertaken at the customer’s own risk and is not covered under this warranty.

This warranty does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous operation of software, mobile applications, or integrations with third-party systems, devices, or services. Any disruptions, limitations, or performance issues arising from such use do not constitute a defect and are not covered under this warranty.

Damage caused to any digital scales product during installation is not covered under this warranty program. The warranty is void if the product is damaged during installation or by misuse by the customer, including but not limited to damage caused by excessive tightening of bolts, twisting the load bar chassis, or any other improper installation method.

AgriEID shall have no obligation to repair or replace any product damaged due to improper installation, and the customer shall assume all liability for such damage.

The warranty does not cover any damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorised repair, modification, or alteration of the product beyond generally accepted usage. We reserve the right to refuse warranty claims that are not in line with acceptable use or show signs of misuse.

Damage caused to any EID reader by accident (e.g., rapid movement of livestock and contact with the device) is not covered under this warranty program.

Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Liquid damage is not covered under warranty, but you might have rights under consumer law.

If the returned product is not properly packed with sufficient padding and the product is damaged en route back to AgriEID for technical assessment, warranty coverage for the product will be excluded.

Shipping & Return Policy

  • In line with local consumer law, the cost of returning a product under warranty is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If the product is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect, AgriEID will cover the shipping cost for the replacement or repaired unit back to the customer.
  • If the returned product is tested and found not to have a manufacturing defect, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs, as well as any applicable technician assessment fees.
  • For any warranty claims beyond 12 months, all shipping costs (both return and replacement) will be the sole responsibility of the customer.

Warranty Claim Process

Please contact us and explain the reason for the warranty claim and request a Return Authorization Number (RMA). A warranty claim must be lodged within 12 months from the date the customer ordered the product.

If a returned product is tested by AgriEID and found not to have a manufacturing defect, a charge will apply for the technician’s time, and the product will be returned to the customer with any applicable freight and insurance charges.

If a returned product is tested by AgriEID and the item has experienced a manufacturing-related failure during normal usage, the faulty parts will be replaced, and the item will be shipped back to the customer with no additional charges.

The estimated time for the processing and return of products under a warranty claim will depend on parts availability and the workload in our service department. We aim to have warranty repairs completed within 30 days of receiving the item at our warehouse.

Failure to follow the AgriEID warranty claim process or refusal to engage with AgriEID support does not constitute grounds for a refund, replacement, or chargeback.

Warranty Coverage

If AgriEID receives a valid claim within the relevant Warranty Period, AgriEID will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts.
  • Exchange the product with a product that is new or has functionality equivalent to the original product.
  • Refund the product's purchase price.

Exclusions and Limitations

This warranty applies only to genuine AgriEID products manufactured by or for AgriEID.

No responsibility is accepted for any accident or damage caused subsequent to any tampering with, modification to, or misuse of this product, including (but not limited to) alterations made by anyone other than AgriEID.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this warranty is exclusive, personal to you, and in lieu of all other warranties, representations, or conditions relating to this product (whether express or implied and whenever arising) whether originating by statute, law, trade, custom, or otherwise.

The product warranty is only valid in the original country of purchase. Any claims made in another country may incur full repair costs at the owner’s expense.

Disputes and Chargebacks

By purchasing an AgriEID product, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this Warranty Policy.

Customers agree to contact AgriEID directly to resolve any issue prior to initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Submission of a chargeback or dispute without first following the AgriEID warranty claim process may be considered a breach of these terms.

Where a chargeback or dispute is initiated for a transaction that does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy (including but not limited to change of mind, software dissatisfaction, or preference-based reasons), AgriEID reserves the right to provide this policy, order records, product documentation, and all correspondence as evidence to the payment provider.

AgriEID reserves the right to recover any costs associated with invalid or disputed claims, including administrative fees, technician time, and payment processing penalties, to the extent permitted by law.

Obtaining Service Under This Policy

AgriEID reserves the right to reject warranty claims that do not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.
